Custom League Files
Extract the relevant XML file to the following path: \Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2012\editor data
To
include or change which editor data files are loaded when you start a
new game, you may need to clear your cache. To do this, open FM12 and
from the start screen click Preferences. Go to the Display & Sound
tab, and untick Use Skin Cache, then tick Always Reload Skin On Confirm.
Now start a new game.
To load up a game incorporating any
changes - start a new game, then when selecting the initial database to
be used you will need to click the "Load Editor Data" option at the
bottom of the popup screen - this will then lead to a list of XML files
present on the system.

Where do I install FM2012 facepacks and kitpacks?
Logos/Kits/Faces
Extract to \My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2012\graphics or Your User Data folder if you have moved it. The folder named 'graphics' may need to be created
Turn off the skin cache in the preferences -> Display and Sound menu and tick the 'Always reload skin on confirm' option to get the logos to show.

Fix Fake German National Team
To fix the fake Germany national team, as well as give the correct competition names (UEFA Champions League, English Premier League etc.), download the LNC files from below.
Please note - the LNC files change Competition, Award and Club Names for a Saved Game while the DBC files adds real media and journalists' names for loads of nations, where available, in a New Game.
Download this file and follow the steps below. Credit goes to everybody on the sortitoutsi forums who gave me a hand and whoever created the myriad journalist and media files.
How to install it:

... Program Files (or wherever you installed Steam) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ football manager 2012 \ data \ db \ 1200
If a Mac user:
USERNAME \ Library \ Application Support \ Steam \ SteamApps \ Common \ Football Manager 2012 \ Data \ db \ 1200 \
You need to delete the dbc, edt and lnc folders in ALL the paths displayed above which apply to your installation method before replacing them with the dbc, edt and lnc folders you download from the link above.
The media sources go into the editor data folder in My Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 2011

Like the FM10 & FM11 version, it includes a vast and comprehensive range of club and competition logos (over 21,000 clubs, almost 1,000 competitions and all nations and confederations). Credit goes to kremmen and the guys at sortitoutsi.net forums from where you can download it.
Updates are continually being released so make sure you keep up-to-date.

FM12 Cut-Out Faces Megapack
Check this thread on sortitoutsi for download links to the torrent or the complete file. Premium Members of sortitoutsi will be able to get a single click download, if you are not a premium member I suggest using the torrent file if you are downloading the complete pack.
Click the link to the 4.0 complete pack and at the bottom of the premium membership screen click free links, the torrent link is at the bottom of the page. You need to register (it's free) on sortitoutsi to be able to download them.
For those who kept up-to-date with all the packs from FM11 and want to avoid downloading the whole pack all over again, there's an interim pack bridging the two megapacks.
